Barguna
Barguna Zilla School was established in 1927 in the southern coastal region of Bangladesh. Initially named Barguna M.E. School, it was founded by Md. Ramzan Ali Akon, who also served as its first headmaster. Upgraded to a high school in 1938, it was nationalized in 1970 and renamed Barguna Zilla School. It is recognized as one of the elite educational institutions in the district.
The school has shaped the lives of generations of students in the coastal district of Barguna, many of whom have gone on to serve in prominent governmental, academic, and business roles.
